U.S. Navy Careers

U.S. Navy careers are a great way to support you and your family while serving the country in one of the most respected forces the United States has. The Navy has a long history of helping people establish long, valuable career paths and helping finance many younger people through furthering their educations. There are many great opportunities to take advantage of in the Navy and if you want to serve your country and improve yourself at the same time, read on to find out how.

U.S. Navy careers aren’t just restricted to positions like the reserve or officers, although these are the most common and sought after (generally speaking). There are a variety of ways you can serve your country and be a part of one of the biggest forces in the United States. If you’re interested in a part time solution where you can serve your country and also make money to pay for furthering your education the Navy reserves are a great option.

You would only serve periodically throughout the year and there are far less pre-requisites for these types of positions. You can even keep your same profession in the reserves that you have in the civilian world. For example, if you’re a nurse or doctor you can provide those services within the reserves and still be compensated for your work.

There are literally dozens of occupations and “niches” you can fill within the Navy. For example some of the careers include arts and photography, aviation technology, business management, construction, fire and rescue, medical and dental services and even religion related positions. Regardless of what career you’re interested in you will most likely need to apply in the same way and have the same basic pre-requisites. Generally speaking you will need at least a high school diploma, be at least 18 years old and pass a physical test to make sure you’re fit enough to serve.

U.S Navy careers offer a great way to make money, build your character, serve your country and increase your career opportunities after the Navy. Taking advantage of the great health care and educational opportunities that come along with a career in the Navy is a great incentive on its own for choosing a U.S. Navy career. Being a truly unique and one of a kind institution to be a part of, the Navy will ensure you develop yourself and your skills in your chosen profession.
