U.S. Navy careers are a great way to support you and your family while serving the country in one of the most respected forces the United States has. The Navy has a long history of helping people establish long, valuable career paths and helping finance many younger people through furthering their educations. There are many great opportunities to take advantage of in the Navy and if you want to serve your country and improve yourself at the same time, read on to find out how.

U.S. Navy careers aren’t just restricted to positions like the reserve or officers, although these are the most common and sought after (generally speaking). There are a variety of ways you can serve your country and be a part of one of the biggest forces in the United States. If you’re interested in a part time solution where you can serve your country and also make money to pay for furthering your education the Navy reserves are a great option.

You would only serve periodically throughout the year and there are far less pre-requisites for these types of positions. You can even keep your same profession in the reserves that you have in the civilian world. For example, if you’re a nurse or doctor you can provide those services within the reserves and still be compensated for your work.

There are literally dozens of occupations and “niches” you can fill within the Navy. For example some of the careers include arts and photography, aviation technology, business management, construction, fire and rescue, medical and dental services and even religion related positions. Regardless of what career you’re interested in you will most likely need to apply in the same way and have the same basic pre-requisites. Generally speaking you will need at least a high school diploma, be at least 18 years old and pass a physical test to make sure you’re fit enough to serve.

U.S Navy careers offer a great way to make money, build your character, serve your country and increase your career opportunities after the Navy. Taking advantage of the great health care and educational opportunities that come along with a career in the Navy is a great incentive on its own for choosing a U.S. Navy career. Being a truly unique and one of a kind institution to be a part of, the Navy will ensure you develop yourself and your skills in your chosen profession.

Becoming a U.S. Navy reserve—how do you do it? Well generally speaking there are some requirements for joining and you have to make sure you’re prepared for the expectations that will face you if you’re called to serve. The most basic requirements are you must be at least 18 years old, pass a physical exam to make sure you’re healthy enough to serve and have a high school diploma or a college level degree for Officer position. A minimum requirement of at least one weekend a month and two weeks every year for service is necessary to maintain your position as a U.S. Navy reserve. In some rare cases there can be adjusted schedules.

Becoming a U.S. Navy reserve offers many benefits and advantages. Compensation is typically one of the most compelling reasons people enlist to serve and rightfully so. There are great pay rates for enlisted members that include 4 days of base rate pay, full pay for meals and housing during your annual training and there are even over time opportunities to earn more on days you volunteer to work. The money is one thing, but there are also other benefits. Medical care and insurance are two huge incentives for being a part of the reserve. During training you will receive medical care and treatment right on site at military facilities and as a Navy reservist you’re granted TRICARE reserve benefits.

If you’re looking into becoming a U.S. Navy reserve it’s important that you have a good idea of what your career outside the reserve will be. Since the reserve can help you with your education and supplementing it financially (if not entirely paying for it) you have a lot of options at your disposal. If you visit the U.S. Navy website to see what careers are in high demand for serving you can also go through one of their programs and learn more about what’s available. Generally speaking occupations like nurses and construction workers are almost always in demand and can make great careers outside of the reserves.

Becoming a U.S. Navy reservist isn’t for just anyone, it requires a certain type of person who can handle challenges and responsibilities well. If you’re up for the task at hand and think you’re ready to join the reserves then you can get started online learning a lot more about the appropriate forms and steps to take for your specific career path and needs.

Navy recruiter career opportunities can seem difficult to come by in this day and age. There are so many people looking for work and there are plenty of qualified applicants for these sorts of jobs, so what’s a person to do? If you want to get into the position as a Navy recruiter where you can both serve your country and make a good living at the same time, read on to learn how to achieve your goal.

The Navy is one of the United State’s most prized defense organizations and they’re constantly looking for recruiters, because it’s a tough job. Believe it or not recruiting people to join the Navy isn’t as easy as it once was, so the Navy is actively looking for people who are good with interpersonal skills, great speakers, excel in social situations and are currently serving their country.

Some of the requirements specifically for being a Navy recruiter are that you must be eligible for shore duty, you must be released by your rating “detailer” and you must pass recruiter screening. While the journey to becoming a recruiter might be challenging for some who still haven’t met the requirements or pre-requisites, the advantages of this career are too hard to ignore. For example, you’ll get to travel the world in many cases and be stationed in areas not usually available through orders in your rate, you can get leased housing through subsidized government programs, attend college during working hours and you even get your own laptop.

Once you think you’re ready to take the first step toward becoming a Navy recruiter the first thing you’ll want to do is get released by your rating detailer. This is typically only a phone call or email away and in some cases you may have to submit a form through your chain of command to do this. After you have done this you’ll need to fill out some screening forms and then hand them into your closest RST member.

If you go through the steps and finally become a recruiter than congratulations, you’ve now sealed the deal on a tremendous opportunity that will ensure you make a fair wage while helping serve your country. Many people underestimate just how challenging this profession can be and it can involve long work hours and a lot of persistence. The benefits far outweigh the challenges though and you can use this career as a launching platform for other, even greater opportunities.

If you want to attend college and travel to new places becoming a Navy recruiter is an extremely rare and unique opportunity to take advantage of. This job requires a certain type of person and it isn’t as simple as just recruiting people for any old job, it’s extremely serious work. The United States relies on the people you’d be recruiting daily and in times of crisis. If this type of career appeals to you and you think you have what it takes to recruit people into the Navy make sure you get started as soon as possible.
